Library Hosts Book Talk on Mata Ortiz Pottery

The Friends of the Library is hosting a book talk on Thursday, October 17, from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM in the Roadrunner Room at the Las Cruces Public Library. Author Charlayne Samuelson will discuss her two books, "Poetry of the Clay" and "Spencer MacCallum." The talk will focus on Mata Ortiz pottery and the story of Spencer MacCallum, who helped bring the artistry of Juan Quezada to public attention.
The event will include a PowerPoint presentation featuring the pottery, and attendees will have the opportunity to purchase copies of the books as well as the pottery.
