**LCPS Names Abel Gonzalez Student Athlete of the Week**

Las Cruces, NM – Abel Gonzalez, a senior at Centennial High School, has been recognized as the Las Cruces Public Schools (LCPS) Student Athlete of the Week. Abel is a football player for the Centennial Hawks and has recorded 36 tackles and one sack this season.

Coach Ocampo praised Abel, highlighting his qualities as a responsible and organized player who leads by example. He noted Abel's fearless nature and his "never quit" attitude on the field. Alongside his athletic accomplishments, Abel maintains a 3.0 GPA.
